Yesterday we finished the picture selection for the 2025 calendar. Some images that I thought were 'shoe-ins' - such as "Milky Way over the Aggenstein" didn't make it, but others like the "Lainbach Waterfall", that really wasn't on my radar of favourite shots for 2024 did.
A surprising number of images from our recent five-day trip to the Tessin squeezed their way in, including the title photo. I say surprising, whenever I'm out shooting with Matthias I tend to get some great shots in, like on our short trip to the Dolomites at the end of October last year. And then there's only one shot from our two-week Tour du Mont Blanc, even though I kept my eyes open for calendar-worthy images.
People were asking last year about where the photos were taken, so I've put together a very brief description of each of the images below. Click on a photo to get a larger image. The final calendar will be without my watermark.
Title Photo: Verzasca Gorge, Tessin from Ponte Bivio |

All profits from the sales are going to Doctors without Borders again this year, but I'm coming away from the "pay-what-you-want" model this year to a fixed price of €20 per calendar or €50 for three. If you want to pay more, then the rest will still go to Doctors without Borders of course. At €20, a little over half is donated. The calendars are printed in A3 format in high quality on thick paper with Fotobuch.de, my longstanding partner for calendars and photo books.
